Arrietty the FireDragon is back in London after her Scottish sojourn

Nearly there 4 days ago

It’s nearly crunch time! I expect the passport and visa back today and my new giant suitcase to be delivered tomorrow. The company will book me a ticket as soon as I have the visa.

Meanwhile, my hubby is already stateside and he has found somewhere for us to live.

Probably Never Really Wanted To 4 weeks ago

As of this moment, I’ve lived in California for exactly ten years. If I haven’t moved to San Francisco before now, I’m never going to. Every time I contemplate the idea, I think of one reason I’d want to and 20 reasons I wouldn’t. Obviously, I don’t belong in the city. And I’m now sort of done apologizing for that fact.

Somebody’s got to be the disco freak of the Valley anyway, right?

Dishwasher listed on eBay 1 month ago

I’ve listed the dishwasher on eBay. So far it’s selling for £30 but I hope it will sell for closer to £100 as it’s worth £300 new. Bargain!

If you are in or near London, please check out the listing. Don’t assume that you don’t have space – this is very compact and ideal for a small kitchen or office. It’s designed to go on top of a bench and it’s not loads bigger than some Microwave ovens.

See listing here.

Today’s list:
- Chase the guy at Scope who promised to organise someone to pick up my donations.
- Take a bag of books to the BookCrossing mini-meetup.
- Sort out which books/DVDs to sell on eBay.
- Registering books on BookCrossing is taking a while so be ruthless and decide which ones I really want to register and which will just go straight to charity.
- Confirm the moving date with the removalists.
- Call the telephone and internet companies.
- Send off mystery paperwork.
