in order to stop hitting the snooze button , set your alarm for that momnet in time when you would panic and say “oh crap i need to go go” so the alarm is an alarm. if your gona hit snooze then just set the time so that snooze is not an option, then if you want to get up earlier it is due to your own natural choice and motivation rather than the buzz of the alarm going off. using this aproach i am starting to wake ealier naturaly as i am now trying to get up before the alarm goes off, rather than after it has made its anoying beep. The alarm should be just that an alarm!! Learn to wake up before the alarms are raised!

My cold is almost gone so I’m doing a little better with this. I have been setting the alarm 15 minutes later but still getting out of bed when I usually do. So, that means 15 less minutes of snooze!

I’ve been doing horrible with this one. I’ve been sick with a cold so I try to squeeze every extra minute of sleep I can out of the morning.

I’ve not done well with this one this week but it’s been a really bad week. I’m going to try to do better next week.
This morning, rather than the usual 5-10 snooze hits, I only hit is once!! That’s pretty great for a Saturday Morning!!
:)
waking up at 5:30 every morning gets u pretty used to it. and the idea that i have a new job and i cant be late makes it easier to get up in the morning when the alarm rings :)

so…. i feel like snooze is no longer my nemisis. we’ll see what happens when summer ends and mornings stop being so warm and bright.
that I’ve set my clock 20 minutes fast, in hopes that I will trick my brain into believing it is late every morning…and I still hit snooze 4 times or so. But, my brain is smarter than me. And it knows that it can sleep in the extra 20 minutes… and while I haven’t been late to work or to appointments, I’ve definitely been pushing it. I want this to stop! I want to have the correct time on my alarm clock without rushing it. I want to take it moment by moment, glad to wake up and glad to lay down. But now, I’m slightly concerned that my brain has become trained to see the clock and expect it to be 20 minutes fast. What if I change my alarm clock to the accurate time and my brain doesn’t keep up?? Then I WILL be late! All the time! Maybe I should gradually reduce the difference between real-time and alarm-clock-time. Maybe by 5 minutes every few days? Any ideas anybody? : )
