build 100 bicycle wheels in 2008

At the last count it was around 75. Can’t see me doing another 25 in the next few days. But I have documented each wheel in my blog and it’s really great to be able to see them all and remember each one. I didn’t keep many records for the names of the clients though.

So I’m gonna hold out with the number till the 31st comes around and then declare the result.

Just over two months till the end of the year and I have made more than sixty wheels but can I make another forty in that short space of time. Don’t know if I want to advertise on ebay and get flooded with orders as I have plenty of other stuff to do as well.

OK, so I went on holiday for most of July so that doesn’t really count but what’s happening with August? We’re halfway through and I haven’t touched a spoke. I’ve made 45 or so and it’s more than halfway through the year so I’m getting a bit worried. At the end of August there will be only 4 months left till the end of the year and I’ll have more than half of my goal left. It might be time to place that ad on ebay.

It’s almost the end of April and I’m up to 30 wheels. If I can continue at this rate then I think that I could just about reach my target. Getting loads of experience and loving it.

I built a lot of wheels last year, 2007 but I didn’t keep count. I’m sure that I must have done at least 50. This year the orders are coming in thick and fast so the plan is to build 100.
