I, like a previous 43thinger stated, love the thought of becoming a Knight.
I know it’s practically impossible, but the world needs a few people who are willing to dream that impossible dream.
“Perhaps true madness is seeing the world as it is, rather than how it should be.”

I started Dagorhir a few months ago and have gone to a few small local events.
I’ve seen my friends move up in rank in their units and it is truly one of my dreams.
Even though Archenland is small and yet to have a rank system, someday I’d like to hold a rank equal to that of Knighthood.
Being a small girl it sometimes hard to really be noticed on the field, and thus I have to work twice as hard to gain respect.
Being a member of Tartarus Invictus though I have a lot of awesome chapter sisters who are awesome fighters and I can learn a TON from them!

But I’m a girl..lol. BUT ITS ONE OF MY DREAMS.

I’ve been working on this goal in earnest since my last post. As the knighthood was deeply rooted in Christianity, I have been looking towards that relationship mostly. It is interesting to note that though knights were warriors of the highest order, they followed a religion of peace.

The real parallel I’ve found between knighthood and Christendom is that where knights often battled in a physical way, the Christian conducts his struggles in the hearts and minds of mankind.

For anyone who wishes to look further into this, perhaps they should look at Eph. 6:11-17.

Also, I would encourage those who wish to delve into the moral side of knighthood to ask about the benifits, both tactical and moral, of an agape-based life.

But people of knightly caliber don’t exactly abound in most parts of the world. Even in the ancient homes of chivalry those values hardly exist. It’s quite sad, really.

why dont we form a chivlaric order and Knight anyone who wants to be a Knight, and meets our minimum standard? :P

I have decided to write a novel in a month (next month) and since I cannot be a knight properly myself, I’ve resolved to have the main character of my novel be a knight. He’ll be a redneck knight of some sort, but a knight nevertheless.
