How I did it: It wasn't difficult. I happen to be a major Buffy the Vampire Slayer geek. He happened to create the show. I happened to go to a very geeky convention, where he happened to put in a surprise appearance. Voila, we met, we shook hands, I suppressed my inner squees... I meet him at the opening of the Sitges cinema festival, Serenity was the movie opening the festival, he was there and he was about to sign me an autograph when that ugyl lady from the festival staff took him away. All I got was a smile, and a “Sorry, I’ll sign it later”.
Luckyly later he signed my Fray comicbook, so all ended well. 6 years ago

At the end of September 2005, Joss Whedon graced my fair city of Sydney, Australia with a Q&A session about his movie ‘Serenity’.
I was lucky enough to shake the hand of my idol, speak with him, and get his autograph..which hangs proudly above my bed.
