Accumulate 6 months salary in my savings account

and I still haven’t progressed much farther! I have about 3 months salary in a secured saving account. This past year a few major things came up, but thanks to my savings, my husband & I were able to pay off a huge bill out of pocket on something that would have otherwise been more credit card debt! So it’s really ok that I’m only halfway to my goal. I’m still pleased & hopeful I will eventually reach this goal.

As of today, I have two months worth of salary in my savings account. This took me about 6 months to accomplish! If I continue this pace, it will take me a year and a half to reach my goal.
