I am on the 3rd book (almost done)in the Twilight series. I also saw the movie recently. SWEET!!! 4 books in one month.
How to read a book once a month
How I did it: since 2002 i've been recording all of the books that i've read, even including the ones that i've reread again.
during the time that i was in school, i sometimes found this hard to do as i had so many different texts to read. but most of the time, i was still able to read a book per month.
during the summer, i read about 4 books per month usually.
Lessons & tips: books are amazing things...not all are worth while reading, though.
i found autobiographies very interesting. at the same time, i found that i was particularly interested in post apocalyptic stuff and fantasy.

Still reading this. I am surprised that it is keeping my attention. However, I like the author’s word choice and flowing dialogue. It is easy to get a picture of the characters in my mind.
I am currently reading Twighlight. This is not a book I would have ever chosen to pick up and read but a friend suggested it and i haven’t been able to put it down. It is total escapism for me. It helps that I have been stuck in bed for the past few days with a cold.
The book I chose is “The Habit of Being.” the letters of Flannery O’Connor
well i went to the library the other day and got this memoir of a jewish girl and her survival story at shindlers. it should be a fast read, although its not very well written, im sure its a decent story.
also picked up a book on zapatistas and chiapas mexico.
i am now on www.goodreads.com really fun site
so i was helping my friend drunkenly paint her room when i came across this book Johnny Got His Gun. I asked if I coudl borrow it, and promptly opened it up as soon as i got home. It is one of the best books i have ever read. I thought it was amazing, it really is one of the best anti-war pieces of literature around. you can feel exactly what hes going through. i cried during the middle part of the book when he is explaining what all the soldiers died for. anyways, it was a great book.
i moved back in with my folks not to long ago. my pops is a really big book reader, always going to the library and checking a new book that type of stuff. so he’s been handing down the books he enjoys. i take longer then he does cause well he’s always reading..but i’ve gotten through 4 books since i’ve been here and that’s just since the beginning on may. so i’ve actually done better then reading a book once a month..
This is pretty hard to do on my own since now I am in college and have so much more other work to do. I just recently bought two books that I do intend to read, but so far time just didn’t allow me to read a book once a month, at least not a book I would read for pleasure.
