Live On Purpose  — 8 months ago

I have developed a way to live on purpose through hosting a podcast called “Live On Purpose” which can be found at www.liveonpurposeradio.com. I like the double meaning of that phrase, that you figure out what your purpose is in life, and that you do it intentionally. Live on purpose everyone!

I want to finish reading the book "Purpose-Driven Life"  — 1 year ago

I have to book and just started reading it (I’m on Day 2). I want to stay on track for the whole 40 days…

I haven’t actually read the book, but most of my friends/family have and they’ve told me a lot about it; my parents actually could have written the book, because they taught me to live this way anyway, before they read the book.

Right now I am living a purpose-driven life. It’s something you have to remember daily, IMHO. And it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that you have to know what YOUR purpose is before you can begin to live a life driven by it.

So. My purpose in life is to be used by God in whatever way He deems best. Figuring out, in the moment, what is most important to God is a life-long process – but I love it! He gives joy in every sorrow and patience for tomorrow.

One thing my daughter-in-law says frequently is, “It’s not all about me.” This took me aback at first because I wasn’t sure what she meant by that. I’ve come to understand that she’s referring to surrendering to a higher power: accepting a greater purpose in life. Wow! How profound!
