this was even possible! When I saw it, I thought it was my imagination. We were flying home from vacation – the San Juan to Atlanta leg – and I had to looked again before decided I really did see a full circle rainbow. I tried to show Heather, who was sitting next to me, but the angle was wrong for her. It was ephemeral and magical and I wish it had lasted longer.

I saw one when I was on the Aonach Eagach in glencoe in scotland…we were in gorgeous sunshine but it was raining down in the valley. It’s the cheapest and the most memorable way to see one…and you can get photos while you’re there.

i’ve seen a full circular rainbow! was very pretty! at first i thought it was just a reflection type thing on the cloud (was in a plane), but then someone explained to me that it’s what all rainbows are like! wow!

It was wonderful! 4 years ago

I saw it on a plane trip, flying above the clouds, while listening to a tape my friend Eric had made. I wish I’d had a camera; it was magical.

Circular rainbows can only be seen from places of high altitudes (e.g. airplanes, cliffs, etc.). I’ve read about this once in my high school physics book and can never forget about it. Maybe someday I’ll be lucky!
