I was like 9 and i won a contest in school. My picture was in the paper!!!
How to get published in the newspaper
It made me 
"12 times so far! FOR GOOD THINGS!"
How I did it:
- Poetry slam at local library
- Steamboat days dressed up
- Godspell play at local college
- Miss burlington pageant
- american idol
- american idol 2nd year
- Making it day -youth support worker
Can't remember the other ones.

It helped to be from a very small, very boring little town. The local paper was pretty desperate for anything that would fill its pages.
