hippie1427 Is going to be uber productive this year
I have an interest in this topic since 1969. Recently I search the internet for an answer. So far I have not found a satisfying answer. So I embark on a personal journey. While doing so, I shall be writing:

Another little exercise from Dr Phil is to acknowledge your paretal legacy. It’s hard for me to delve into the past…my parents really did a rather luckluster job, putting it nicely, but I know they did (approximately) the best they could. And I’ve spent a lot of energy and tears to coming to terms with that…
So I took myself out of well…myself, and did the exercise in third person and it did reveal somewhat why I have trouble with relationships. Even friendships. Why I think everyone’s out to get me or wants to take advantage of me or secretly hates me.
More importantly I started thinking what kind of parent I want to be and how I can learn to become that. Because honestly, I wouldn’t know the steps to being a good parent right now.

I have no idea how I’ll judge this goal as met since it is a life-long endeavor. Maybe once questioning my self and motivations becomes a natural occurrence. Or when I’m able to make decisions that I feel excited about and take me to a better place.

...on this already. It’s rather embarrassing but my dad gave me Dr Phil’s book Love Smart for Christmas (yes…that truly is as odd and hilarious as it sounds) and when I’m not rolling my eyes at how cheesy and rediculous his advice is, I am doing the excercises and learning a bit more about myself.
Can you identify who you are? Where you stand, where you’re going? Your primary goals in life? What do you have a passion for? How do you spend your time? Consciously? Are you happy with it? Can you identify reason behind all your actions? Are most of them habits? Do you have an opinion? Is it your opinion? A mind of your own?
By identifying the things that make one tick, one can gain confidence in himself. Gain control over life. Gain understanding of others. One can consiously begin to make decisions that will help acheive his goals.
What makes you laugh? Scared? Freak out? What would you love for?
Choose your future. Choose a life. Choose your goals. Choose your friends. Choose your time. But first know yourself.
