Go out into the Wild

As a Canadian, I really feel something about the outdoors and the land. I’ve lived all over the world and I’ve met some people here and there that get the idea. But I think it’s something that speaks particularly to Canadians. I mean, its so easy to just drive a short distance from your home and be in places that have never been walked by any human. I grew up with family that made sure I had this sort of view of the land. A view that the land is something special and to stand in awe of it.
This goal for me means that one day I want to set out into that wild. I don’t mean some Thoreau “Walden” type experience. I mean, I want to say that I set out into the land and truly lived there. Not with a camper or gas stoves. That I made a true effort to live within nature and to experience it has it should be. This idea has always spoken to me and I can’t wait for the day.
