Win my fantasy football league

I’ve got a new club playing in two leagues this year, the Banana Slugs. So far they are both undefeated, although last week was a squeaker that required Darrin Sproles to play (Tomlinson was back) and gain at least 3 yards. He got 16..whew!

This week is projected to be a walk over, but there is no such thing as a lock in FF. I’ve got Drew Brees on a bye.

I play in three leagues every year. In both my Friends and Family league and my Dynstasy league, I’m 1-2 with very iffy teams, so I don’t think there’s a champion there.

In my pay league I’m 3-0, but that’s a 36 team league and is very difficult to win.

I’ll keep trying, but it may have to wait until next year!

As the 2009 NFL season commences, I feel my chances are decent. I didn’t draft great, but I’m in two leagues and I drafted Adrian Peterson in both. I may not have done this given a choice, but both of my drafts were auto, I had him listed #1 on my rankings and I drafted first in both leagues. Maybe this is my year to win two leagues!

It’s a sign of the times when the one goal on my “bucket list” is to win my fantasy football league.

Part of it is a weather change in my ambitions, but part of it is about living with a little of passion and a little intensity that’s been missing for years. It’s been a great ride, and I really can’t complain, but I am feeling the restless urge to push things.

So here I am starting with a goal that I have but the slightest control over. Fantasy Football is 9/10th luck, and 1/10 skill. Can I win it all this year? Maybe not. But I’ll have fun doing it.

Okay, this is my third year of participating in Fantasy Football…

I am in three leagues as of now (The 43Things League, The Usual, and MovieForums League). I’ve drafted for two of the three leagues, and I’m happy with one of them, the one for this site, not so much. The main player I wanted to make sure I got was Aaron Rodgers, no he isn’t a running back, but I think he’ll get me at least 30 points a game, like last year. I got him for both of my teams, and some tweaking to do with the rest of the team.

Hopefully, I can win this year!

Here I go again. I signed up on FleaFlicker.com for a Public League. The draft is scheduled for 8/20 at 7am PDT. I missed playing last year while working on the elections. FF makes the games on Sunday a bit more interesting.

This is my second year involved with Fantasy Football, and it really makes Sundays more awesome than they already are by tracking all of your players. So three weeks in to the NFL season, I have won all three games cleanly. Not only do I have a perfect record, they have listed me as #1 in the Power Rankings! Woo-hoo. Last year, I did great in the regular season and thought it would be unreal if I could do the same this year. So far, so good. If you’re curious about which players are doing it for me this year, here is my lineup:

QB: Aaron Rodgers from Green Bay (Last year it was Favre, Rodgers is producing the same high numbers)
RB: Ryan Grant from Green Bay (Has been hurt of late)
RB: Ronnie Brown from Miami (Scored 5 touchdowns last weekend)
WR: Randy Moss from New England (Not as good without Brady)
WR: Donald Driver from Green Bay (Had him last year too!)
WR: Greg Jennings from Green Bay (Best WR right now)
TE: Greg Olsen from Chicago (Meh.)
K: Jeff Reed from Pittsburgh (Good kicker)
DST: Bills DST (They are one of the best)

Again, if you noticed a lot of Packer players. :)

I have 2 entries in the FFTOC online contest – won my division last year and lookin’ for a two- and three-peat!

Our draft is tomorrow! This will be the 3rd year.. the first year I was in 2nd place and last year I was in 3rd..

It’s time again! Football season which means fantasy, I still need to sign up which I will probably do tonight or tomorrow. Last year, I was one loss away from winning. As far as who I am trying to get on my fantasy team, I really don’t know, I will try to get a lot of Packers players. But we’ll see.
