27 years worth of photos, waiting to be organized. (My mom covered the first 16 – lol).
And then I want to copy old films onto CDs, and have a complete inventory of all the photos I’ve ever taken, Which sounds massive.
I’m overwhelmed already.

Photoshop is not compatible with my new Vista operating system, so I started using the Windows Photo Gallery and it keeps crashing. I’ve been over the same ground too many times.
Grrr.
i still need to print HUNDREDS of photos :-P
i’ve got my digital photo files organized in folders by year, then by month, then within each month’s photos, i sort the files by “date picture taken.” so now everything’s in order.
now i just have to go through each month (for the past 3 years!) and print the photos worthy of being in an album and make copies for my kids’ grandparents… this will take some time.
Nina is trying to get at least one thing done tonight :)
My first step would be to go out and buy some nice albums. I like that them all look the same. Looks nicer :)

I ended up putting it on the “I give up” list because I couldn’t find the time. This weekend, I’m making the time. I won’t finish this weekend by a longshot, but I’ll start.
My plan is to gather up all the pictures from the high school years and organize them and scan them. I need to go buy small envelopes to organize the hard copies. I don’t want them in albums anymore because albums take up too much physical space.

for my birthday, from my husband—who knows!
Hopefully this will help!
I am ok on digital photos, as the computer helps keeps them organized. I have 2 1/2 boxes of old film photos that I really need to sort more effectively…I don’t even know where to start or how to plant to get them organized. They are mine and my husband’s childhood to present photos, and include such a variety of people and events, not just childhood….any ideas? What is a good way to store them, once I get them organized?
So, I hope that for next week’s reminder I will have already gathered every pic regarding my erasmus. Then, I will take them to Costco, print them, and maybe I will already have them in an album… maybe that’s too much to ask, but I WILL have them gathered up.

There are SO many. I am at least getting all the old prints in one area of the newly reorganized closet of my studio. And then there are the ones from my husband’s family, too.
I want to get a bunch of boxes and start sorting them by year, but first I have to get everything cleaned up in the studio/

I’m not sure where/how to start.

kepi asks,
“I have several boxes of photos from an old school disposable camera, and since going digital I store all my photos on my PC. Any advice on synchronisation? I'm not sure whether I should print all my soft copies or scan all my hard copies ...”
