Make at least one person smile every day

Being witty, it’s easy to crack a joke and make people laugh. The only problem is that it often comes at the expense of someone else. It’s one thing to make at least one person smile every day, and it’s another to make at least one person smile every day for a truly good reason. This one is proving harder to do that I might have realized. I guess it’s because I redefined “smile” for myself. In conjunction with “Make my life count for something” and “Soften My Heart,” (also on my list) these three seemingly easy goals are showing themselves to be three of the hardest on my list. I’ll be a smoke-free, debt-free, Spanish-speaking, guitar-playing millionaire before I see these three goals accomplished. But there’s nothing wrong with leaving these goals undone. Because I’m not giving up. I believe the work required of these goals is actually more important than the achievement of them. Let us hope. :)

really it’s something I don’t have to work at. I am a friendly person who is always smiling. I say hello to pretty much everyone & I think thats what made this goal so easy! :)

I made three cute lil boys smile today, when I passed by them saying “no thank you” and ran back after the hubs gave me $5 :P They were so excited when I came back for a chocolate peanut butter egg!

this is one of the easiest goals to do, mostly because I’m basically a happy cheery person & I tend to smile a lot. It gets a lot of peoples attention & I get many smiles & hellos on a daily basis. :P

HOWEVER, 1 of the guys I WANTED so badly to make smile is no longer working at my location. The OTHER I did get to crack a smile yesterday :) matter of fact he came to my office more than three times & not only smiled but talked to me and held conversation!! I’m pretty excited about cracking him. :P I should add another to my list…but for now, Ill keep this on my list. I like doing this.

I made her smile a lot, I made a donation for the American Cancer Society…she was collecting donations as she does every year through our work. She sent me a thank you today for mine :) I get a cute lil bear & some pretty daffodils for my donation! My daughter will love them!

that…I’ll only count up the people who I haven’t made smile yet! NEW people…if I made you smile today, & make you smile tomorrow…you only count for the first day. :) MY goal is to make everyone smile…I know it’s basically impossible to make EVERYONE smile but I can try :P If I turn it on (my charm) I KNOW I’ll get at least one haha j/k Im in a good mood!

before 1pm :P 3 at Trader Joes…1 at Raleys and 2 at Ulta :P I LOVE this goal haha Im a dork…but I make sure to smile for real and say hi & even spark up a conversation if I can. I love that people aren’t afraid of me. Or think Im weird for talking/smiling at strangers haha

I got a total of 14 smiles today :P I didn’t see the 2 people I spoke of in my first entry. Matter of fact I haven’t seen one of them in a few weeks lol I wonder if he still works there? I should check on that. Anyways, I made it a point to smile a lot today…and I kept track in my head silly as it sounds it was fun…hehe Im not even including people I come across shopping or my own family. I should count strangers though…thats a biggie.

I used to find it odd when strangers would say hello to me…But since I’ve worked at UPS everyones been so nice. NOW Im the one always say hi & smiling. It really can change somebody :P

I’ve adopted this goal :P I have a hidden goal with this one, there are a few people at work that I often say Hi to or Smile at as I pass them and they rarely respond. I’ve asked about them, and have been told they are always like that. BUT I intend to get a smile out of them. In five years there I’ve managed to get 1 out of each of them. I want to make em each crack another smile before I make this goal completed. :)
