create an electronic portfolio

stayed up until 3am the morning finishing it b4 interviewing, and it was worth it :)

Ended up doing this with a web-design program. It plays on my computer, but I don’t know yet if it will burn to a CD. Anyway, all that’s left is to create links to the artifacts, and then write some quick reflection paragraphs. :)

I’ll do this along with studying for the quals and developing a philosophy of education. They are all interlinked. It will be like synthesizing all the knowledge I’ve been studying over the past decade.

Trying to do a portfoio

I guess I’m still creating it. No use in cheating. I want to do it right!

and I’m kind of cheating by checking it off. I started the site, and have the skeleton. Now I need to add content, which will come later. But I created it!!! ;) my site

become more urgent depending on the decision our principal makes – yikes!!! Hopefully I can take my time and don’t need to launch a job search this spring.

this is too time-consuming to be worthwhile – going to use a regular paper portfolio

I ended up using a wordpress blog and adding pages to include the resume and other elements I wanted. I’m still fiddling with Dreamweaver to build a stand alone site but for now I’m satisfied. With Wordpress, starting from zero experience, I was able to publish everything I needed in a couple of hours…and it’s free. Hard to beat that. Now I have a job search tool I can use and there are some good positions out there, so back to applying for all the jobs I’m qualified for.

I have written one of the elements and I’m almost done with a second one. I am having to relearn a lot of the Dreamweaver stuff Ihaven’t used in a while and that takes time.
