Since I made this a goal, I have done lots of things to improve my health and take good care of my body! I don’t want to stop with them now, but I am calling this complete, so I can make room for a new goal – I’m going to do a 28 day detox, which should really make a big difference. But I also intend to maintain the things I’ve started already:
Exercising regularly, flossing my teeth, drinking more water, eating healthy foods, going to the doctor and dentist regularly, doing breast self-exams, taking vitamin supplements. Basically, I want to stay more aware of what I’m doing with my body, and putting into it, so I know that I’m making good choices, instead of automatic unhealthy ones. So far, so good. :) 7 years ago

I finally found a new chiropractor, and went to see him for the first time this morning. (I decided that I no longer wanted to go to my previous one for a variety of reasons, but it meant that I’d not been getting chiropractic care for several months). I’m really glad that I went – my neck has been giving me a lot of pain lately, and now I know that it will be back in good shape very soon. In fact, it feels good now – kind of a surprise, since I was expecting to have some soreness from the adjustment, after not being adjusted for such a long time. But not so far! Plus, I really REALLY like this new doctor so far. I think he’s going to be fantastic. YAY! :) 7 years ago

I did a breast self-exam last night (and everything seemed to feel fine), but it also reminded me that it’s been a while since I’ve been to see my gynocologist, so I made an appointment for next month to get all my girly stuff checked by a professional.
Today, I also took my blood pressure (it’s in the normal range), and flossed my teeth! I’m also considering going to a completely vegetarian diet, which should count towards this goal, assuming that I do a proper job of it.
Still drinking lots of water, too, and feeling good in general. Although I did do something to my neck during a yoga class (my own stupidity, mostly), so I’ll be very glad when those muscles heal themselves up completely.
Still, I think I’m making very good progress. Oh! And I’m going to the dentist next week. AND I got myself a bottle of good multivitamins today. So, yeah. Progress. :) 7 years ago

I’ll be making that trip to the dentist next week. I’ve also been working out regularly, as well as eating much better than I used to do. I still have a few more things I’d like to work on, like regular breast exams. I should also probably make an appointment with my regular doctor for an overall check-up.
Oh – I did take my blood pressure last week, and it was fine. 7 years ago

Over the past several weeks I’ve been:
Doing yoga regularly (three times per week)
Drinking more water (at least 32 ounces per day, often more)
Eating more vegetables and fresh fruits and vegetables
Eating less meat
Making sure to get enough sleep every night
I’m feeling good, physically, but I am a bit annoyed that I’ve not lost any weight. It’s not as though I actually feel I need to lose any to be healthy (or even comfortable with myself), but over the past six months or so, I gained 10 pounds and now some of my clothes don’t fit as well anymore, so I’d like to get back down to where they fit, so I don’t have to buy a new wardrobe. :D 7 years ago

I’m adding this to the list of things I want to do to keep my body healthy! I’m pretty bad about remembering to do this. Here’s a website with more information:

Hmnh. Turns out that this is not a good time of the month for me to do this, so I need to remind myself again in a couple of weeks. 7 years ago

In fact, some of my other goals are part of this, as well. I’ve been doing yoga regularly, and also paying more attention to my diet. I’ve been cutting meat out of my diet, and also trying to eat less junk food. It’s going well so far, but I do find that it’s difficult to break the habit because I’m not very good at shopping for healthy foods, so I don’t always have them in the house when I’m hungry.
I’ve also been good about going to see my doctors regularly – saw the dermatologist a couple of weeks ago for my skin check. I do need to go to the dentist, though. I’m nearly a year overdue for that appointment.
So, I’m aware of this and working on it, but I don’t think I’m going to mark it complete just yet. Maybe after I’ve seen the dentist. 7 years ago

As frustrating as dieting is I keep trying to tell myself to go for it and so far I have lost close to 20 pounds. Sometimes my motives are selfish and vain… like wanting to look good in the summer and other times its because I know its good for me.. Its just sooo easy to sit around like a sloth and eat yummy foods. Delayed gratifaction vs. longterm planning How adult. 7 years ago
