Float the river on inner-tubes

This is always fun, and back in South Africa quite easy to do. Just mind the crocodiles, sharp rocks and very strong currents and you’ll have a grand old time :)

Just resign yourself to feeling slightly beaten up the next day.

I tubed the Potomac in Harpers Ferry.

I’ve done it before, of course. Lots. But not this summer, so that was the context of the goal. And now it’s been met. So off with it!

I did this today. Went with several friends. Weather wasn’t quite what it could’ve been, sun was a little weak and it got pretty cold halfway through. But we soldiered on. And it feels good to be warm and home and sated with water and sun.

So much fun. I’m doing it again this summer. Bring lots of sunscreen and bugspray.
