I’ve always been interested in lip reading.I want to learn it bcoz its very different
i am a student nurse working in ICU where patients are on mechanical ventilation and cannot speak. they make no sounds at all. they are very silent. they struggle to communicate with me and i need to find a way to ease their anxiety and frustration that dosn’t immediately include medications. i see nurses lip reading and i want to do it too
I’ve always been interested in in lip reading. Maybe because of television. I’d like to be able to see what people are saying on the other side of glass or from a distance.
It’s an excellent skill to have.. it’s almost James Bond like or something.
Learning to lip read is a must for me as I am slowly going deaf. I am finding it very difficult to follow a normal conversation when I am in the company of other people. If anybody can suggest a website where I can pick up the basics I would be very grateful
My freshmen year biology professor is almost deaf and can only hear a little bit with hearing aids when he actually wears them. I never realised this till the end of the semester. He lipreads that well. Its been years since I’ve had him but I’ve worked in the labs for him. I think he’s amazing at it. I want to learn how to do this just in case I ever go deaf.
