meet my neighbours

I finally met the couple who will be moving in just before christmas, they were visiting the house and making notes of possible renovations they’d like to make.

They are a lovely retired couple, Phil and Joy, who are moving out from the city to a quieter and more peaceful life (or so they hope). Joy is currently in remission from a battle with cancer and seems to have a wonderful outlook on life; I’m sure my family will enjoy getting to know them a whole lot better once they move in.

I have new neighbours moving in at the end of the month. They were visiting the house (which is vacant) over the weekend but I didn’t get to actually meet them (I did wave as they went past in their car though….but don’t think this counts).

My dog Bronson (huge black labrador) wondered over and introduced himself to their dogs – just to let them know he was king of the hill and stamp his authority i’m sure (peeing all over their car tyres sigh). Think it best if I take a more subtle approach….maybe a sweet for their first dinner in the house, or a rose for the garden :)
