I have been in a place of earthquake and upheaval and molten lava in my life for about three years. The earth is just now settling down and letting me get my footing. I have done so much healing over the past three or four months. I am still raw and vulnerable and shaky at times, but I am also stronger than I have ever been.
I am in a place where people are helping me, giving me advice. It is a good place, a place where I have had to let pride go and allow myself to be nurtured.
So many voices have been shouting their good advice, but the very BEST advice I got was from MT, my boss:
AMY, THERE IS A LOT OF FUN TO BE HAD. MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE SOMEONE WHO WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE FUN WITH YOU.
And, the man I love also gives this advice to young people:
LOOK AT ALL OF YOUR OPTIONS AND THEN CHOOSE THE MOST FUN.
So, life is short. Time is a series of pearls on a string. Our life is made up of each day that we live. Right now… this is all we have. THIS is our one wild and precious life. THIS is the only life you can save. (Thank you Mary Oliver.) And so, each day, each moment, I am going to choose the MOST FUN option and see where it leads me.
It has already lead me to gift myself with love.
