How I did it: I DONE IT BY VERY CAREFULLY MARKING THE OUTSIDE OF WHAT I THOUGHT OF DOING THEN WHEN I WAS DONE I COLORED IT WITH THE RIGHT COLORS I THOUGHT WOULD GO WITH IT AND THEN ADDED FINISHING TOUCHES THEN I WAS DONE! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I knew I wanted an arm band and where I wanted it. I booked into a tattoo parlour and looked through their designs. I found a centre design which was perfect - it has symbolic meaning for that time of my life and then I found an arm band design to go perfectly with it. The tattooist took part of the design and redrew the top half so it was absolutely unique. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was showing some drawings to a local art store, when they recommended I draw some tattoo's. They actually wanted some of the drawings I already had for tattoo designs! I photocopied them, and brought them back.I don't want a tattoo, but somebody out there has my drawing on their arm, stomach, back or elsewhere. :) Read how I did it…

i am about to design my own tatoo-i will be getting it in a few years. but i already now what i want so here goes nothing.
i wanted my first tattoo to be something that said something about my interests and my outlook on life. i deliberated for a while, and then started looking up phrases. the french phrase “apres moi, le deluge” stuck with me and after learning the history and origin stories, i fell in love and decided it HAD to be on my body.
in late october of 2008 i went to a locally respected tattoo parlor and talked to an artist about it. he was very nice, and very focused on how i wanted the tattoo, where i wanted it, and what font it would be in. the tattoo is calligraphic and resides in between my hip bones, a few inches above the mons pubis(so no one is seeing it unless i want them to.) YES, it hurt like a bitch but it was completely worth it.
deciding on your own tattoo may take minutes, days, or years, but i would highly advise selecting an tattoo that’s a custom piece, as opposed to flash art. all tattoos have stories, but custom pieces are definitely a part of you that’s a bit more visible.
I’d rather be my own person than pick a generic picture in an album and while walking down the street, see another person with it… what a disaster! I want a tattoo for me, myself, and I, preferably a tribal tattoo to represent my family on my lower back and something fun on my ankle
I would like to get a tattoo in black and gray on my shoulder that symbolizes my passion for hunting. this is my first tattoo and i would like it to look good. any advice?
