Ron Mael is one of the few musicians and songwriters out there who has never failed to make me laugh with his writing style and the stuff that he comes out with. I can’t figure out how he can get his brother Russ to sing the most subversive and quirky lyrics and keep such a sombre and straight face when he plays the keyboards. That’s what makes Sparks so great as a band!
