    I love hulla hooping :)

Intoxicated. Listening to the Gorillaz. Last night around 3 a.m. Happy happy hula…
Do I have to get drunk once a week in order to meet my goal of hula-hooping once a week?!? Criminy.

Okay, so maybe this once-a-week thing isn’t really happening. But I did get nice and toasted Friday night, which led to a hula-sesh around, oh, five a.m.

I did hula-hoop, rather drunkenly, the Monday before last. For about five minutes.

I did it, I hula-hooped today. To Atmosphere. For like five minutes. But five is better than none.

Hula-hoop at least twice every nine weeks? 4 years ago

Well, I hula-hooped on Thursday night when I had the apartment to myself for a bit. I was listening to a mix-tape that my old room-mate gave me and made it through a Missy Elliott song and into the next song but then my hubby came home. I finished up the song and gave it a rest. He said he was happy to come home and find me hula-hooping – and that it was “damn sexy.”
I think I need to be doing some stretches and stuff first, because I had some problems with my hip for the next two days (I have long-standing hip/back issues). But other than that, lots of fun and got my heart-rate going. I should probably be doing this a lot more now that I’ve quit smoking – would be a great source of calisthenic activity/lung development.

One week down, infinity to go... 4 years ago

Okay. I hula-hooped for ten minutes to the first three songs off of Jesus Lizard’s “Shot.” So that’s a pretty cardiovascular work-out, if I do say so myself. I should probably do this more like two or three times a week if I really want to make a dent in “it,” but it’s a start, like so many other starts…

    Hula me 4 years ago

I have always liked to hula-hoop and I’m pretty good at it, but it’s been a while. I don’t know why I don’t do it more often because it makes me really happy to throw in some hip-hop or whatever and rock out, plus it’s great exercise (and my chiropractor said it works interesting muscle groups, whatever that means…). Plus it improves my spirits – a very up-lifting, energetic exercise. So that’s why it’s on the list.
