pray first thing in the morning

I’ve actually been doing this the past few days. I’ve decided to pray more. I like the idea of praying throughout the day. So far I’ve been doing well. I’ll forget to pray before work or before lunch if things are hectic but in random moments I’ve been doing better about praying first. I love opening my eyes first thing in the morning and praying “thank you for another day” haha that makes me sound like some old woman. well I guess I am since I’m almost veintiuno…

did it again, horray. I really think this gives me some amazing power for my day. Hmm. Prayer is so powerful. I really miss church, I’m getting really happy about God again lately. It’s amazing how I’ve grown as a Christian, especially since June…since this last year, and I wasn’t even Christian 2.5 years ago. That’s amazing; Glory to God.

This morning God was the first thing in my mind. And I prayed for everything that I should have been praying for all along. It wasn’t overwhelming, it wasn’t burdensome, it wasn’t rushed, I didn’t think it was a waste of time. I need to make this a habit. Getting out of bed and going straight to eat is no longer an option, even if I do pray before I eat, praying first thing in the morning is so vital, it’s putting God at the start of your day. once I make this a habit I want to make praying the last thing I do before I go to bed, that would be nice.

It’s not so much that I need to pray at 0500 everyday. God Does Not Care. I’ve been praying much higher quality prayers, focused and heartfelt. This goal is changing to Pray in Higher Quality <3

Sometimes my prayers are rushed, I want to go eat a yummy breakfast. Sometimes my prayers are insincere, do I really care if God blesses all the people? Sometimes I yearn for God’s voice, I hope he hears my cries. Sometimes I feel his hand, on my back urging me toward my new life.
Usually I am praying for a safe and blessed day for myself, family, friends, safe travels, and so that even in the economic downfall people turn to God, so that I may follow God and so that my mother may come to know God’s word. There are many other things I pray about. Prayer is the first step to making it happen, it clears your mind and it starts the day off right.

This morning I had such a good night’s rest that I immediately thought to pray before I started my day. I’m really glad I remembered, I know it’s important to pray. I just need to remember more often and have more effective prayer, not just something I do to get it over with…
