How I did it: Well, the photographer Jeanée kept asking me to model for her and eventually I agreed to help her with a studio project for the photography class at our school. I just did myself up as I normally did and took the photos. The parasol of course, was her prop. I had a rather good time and I think that I'll keep doing more if anyone else is interested. Lessons & tips:

At almost 26 years old, I feel that time is running out! Before I get married, and have a family, I want to love my ultimate dream of modeling in advertisements and signing with a really good agency here in LA. I have wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. I have given up before, although find myself coming back to it. And like many others, I would also like to try and act.

The first one...

So out of the deal, the artist was inspired by several of the shots and agreed to do two paintings! I just got the first one of Poli’ahu back, and am looking forward to receiving my print so I can hang it up in our (hopefully) new house :D 
And I finally have time to do a few possible gigs in April too, so that’s exciting!

I am totally addicted to AMNTM and yes, if they make a stop in Chicago, IL after I’m eighteen I will be all over that audition like a gay dancer at a Janet Jackson casting call.
Modeling has been a dream of mine since… forever! My mom had gotten it stuck in my head as a child and her Vogue magazines just reenforced it to manifest itself into an ideal career.

I’ve always been insecure about how look.
Whether it’s about my facial features or my body, I’m insecure about it.
But I’m hope by modeling – semi professionally – for a photographer, it will help me boost up my self – esteem and not be so concious anymore about myself.
Perhaps, even by doing this, I might discover a new talent that might be hiding.

I just do it for fun. The way I got started is just getting to know photographers who want to use me in their shots. I did some free shots to gain experience and build up my portfolio

Uhh i hate being short! I was looking at a Victorias Secret mag and i was thinking i could probably model for them but i wouldnt have a chance bc im only 5’4. Haha oh well!

On Friday evening and Saturday morning and afternoon, I got to work with my favorite photographer again! We busted out 7 different themes (bikini, business, bird, casual/dressy, couple shots, Poli’ahu the snow goddess, and the goddess Hi’iaka) and it was a whirlwind of fun! The two important themes are the goddess ones since they are for an artist. Hopefully he will be inspired to paint from the images and we’ll get paid! But above that, my husband was with me for much of the shoots (he, and I have grown to be good friends with the photographer), and was VERY helpful, especially when we shot at the mountain where snow was thigh deep! I was so grateful that he was there to help me. He’s a GREAT source of support ♥
