Ikea sofa

We moved here almost four months ago, and lived without a sofa (or much other furniture) all this time. We thought this time we would get a new sofa. I found a store I really liked, but alas, the 1000$+ creations are out of our price range.

Finally this sofa came up on Craigslist. It originally came from that store I liked. It’s used, but in a very good condition. Color is mushroom. Nor my first choice, but nice.

Paid 250$ and the guy delivered it for free. Neat.

for a tan L shaped sectional. not my first choice, not really my style, but clean, and blendable in that unassuming tan sofa way….
I may even be able to sell it for more than that and turn a profit… hmm..

considering the other sofa I really want is $2850, this 200 seems well within current spending limits! and I believe I have a friend who will help me move it! yeah!

I get the couch in a few weeks when the people finally move. now I’m going to start looking for a coffee table, side tables, credenza and file cabinet

Yeah! I bought the first part of a sofa set – the loveseat was delivered Tuesday morning. Now TG and I have a comfortable place to get busy sit and watch TV.

I finally got to buy a sofa/loveseat. It’s actually a loveseat. I found a sofa that was cheaper, but it was this light cream color, and that doesn’t match with a five year old, so I got this wild cocoa brown loveseat. It’s so fluffy and soft. I’m so happy to finally be able to sit in my living room comfortably. Well, sure the papasan is comfortable, but only for so long. This task took a lot longer to accomplish than it should have, but it’s done, hooray!

My mother and I went yesterday and looked at a nearby furniture store, but there wasn’t anything I liked. We’re going to try again in a couple of weeks at a couple of other places. This is frustrating, because I just really need some place to sit in my home. I have only the computer chair and a papasan. No place for guests either. Grumble. Soon.

to come with me to the furniture store, because she has a truck, and I do not. But she’s always too busy! I’m going to try to convince her to come tonight, and I really hope she will. I want a new sofa so badly.

I hope so anyway. I have no seating areas in my home, and I really want a nice new sofa. I hope I can go out and buy one this weekend.

I’ve needed a new sofa/loveseat forever. When my husband and I first moved in together, we obviously didn’t have a lot of money for furniture, so it was mostly hand-me-down. My m-i-l gave us this old awful gold sofa which we’ve used the last six years, but I was glad to toss that out when I decided to move. Now I get to look forward to buying a new one. I’m really excited about this, even though I have to wait until I can afford it, which might be a couple more months. Spend a couple of months sitting on your living room floor. It’s not any fun.
