Julie is procrastinating (as usual).
I’ve been here for almost 4 months now. My first semester of college was great. I got my final grades of 4.0 in two of my classes but I got a 3.8 in one class so it lowered my overall GPA to 3.9.
Everyone is extremely friendly here compared to England (maybe I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but hey). I don’t completely love it here but I very much prefer it here. I also still have some getting used to still, so I probably will eventually love it here, or deep inside I will (I’m just a grouchy girl lol).
Good luck for anyone trying or wishing to live here. I recommend visiting here first if you haven’t done so yet! Although it’s a different experience with visiting and living here!
h4rmony is going to watch Quantum of Solace with his friends
but it is worth it, specially if you are young and from a third world country like me. It WILL be hard and you WILL cry and you WILL suffer but after almost 4 years in this great country I believe it has all been worth it.

I am currently in the process of getting the VISA to go to America. I will be living around Washington or Montana. My husband is an American citizen and we both agree that America is better than England, at least in our situation.
I regret that it’s such a long process and I am worrying my head off.

There is a forum I found useful. People there are very supportive and helpful.
The love of my life lives in the US…I’m in Canada…it would be all well and good aside from the fact that the US Federal government does not recognize same-sex marriages for purposes of immigration…what to do, what to do.
I learnt about this site from an NY Times Technology article and thought this might be fun. Also the NY times article gave me confidence about the credibility of this site.
I am currently in the US; came here about 5 years ago as an international student; went through a lot of ups-n-downs; finally got a job and am working these days. I am thinking about getting settled here. I am not looking for any help or advice on this site. My only purpose is to write down (or vent out) my thoughts (or whatever). But who knows, in the process I may find useful info or may be someone who can help me get a better job and such. Thats about it.
After my up and coming Gender reassignment surgery I would like to immigrate to the USA especially somewhere like San Francisco
