More and more changes to the way learners are being taught and exams done. Would have been a lot easier in the long run if I had either done the ADI exam years ago when I first thought of it or passed the blooming thing in the spring of this year. Grrrr…....
Will apply my brain to it after Xmas is gone. My new year resolution.

Question bank
Started the whole process in earnest. My package containing DVD of DSA question bank and hazard perception videos has arrived. I’ve opened all and had a practice run on theory test. 92% on first try, 100% on second when I blocked out all household sounds and concentrated properly.
Not taking this as a sign I’m completely ready for real test, taking as a sign I’ve not completely forgotten everything from the last time around.

Found the DVD’s and CD’s from last time.
I’ve been taking mock tests all evening. 100 questions each test.
Passing 4 out of 5 times.
From two years ago, I could remember braking and thinking distances, use of gears in snow and rain and going through deep water. BUT I must look again at the cats eyes on motorways i.e. which colours are used where.
Buying latest CD’s as new laws have come into force re driving and driver training since the last lot.

Memo to self – get your head down and study some questions for the re-go at part 1.

Posted off my re-application for the Register of Driving Instructors.
Theory test should be ok once I have a shuftie over the question bank. Must look out the hazard perception DVDs from the back of the cupboard.
Fighting fit to take on the road to Potential Driving Insructor.
In the last two years, new rules have come in including that all driving instructors, whether ADI or PDI, require to register for a CRVS certificate.
Once their letter and certificate arrived with the required code, I filled in the application form to go through the PDI course.
The application is now posted, so lets await the question book and here’s hoping for a another good result for Part One – Theory Test and Hazard Perception.

Ok it’ll be a wee peep from me as today I sat and didn’t pass my ADI finals.
Will have another go though have to start from theory and hazard perception level before going onto driving perfection and then back to the teaching bit again. Will try not to go at it like a bull to a gate.
Time off of a weekend then on the phone for re-start documents. Phew! A bit cheesed off that I didn’t get it this time but them’s the breaks. 8)

Panic setting in. Couple of weeks to go before first try at teaching exam. Allowed to sit three times only. Pass rate of less than 28%. Its scary, that low pass rate.
Keep reminding myself how happy I felt when I got part 1. I positively bounced along the street. Part 2, I was telling everyone I met and had to take half an hour’s time-out before trusting myself to drive sensibly home without singing my heart out and not looking where I was going.
Part 3 when I pass. Well how ‘wow’ would that be. If my daughter passes hers too. Double ‘wow’. We will both be shouting from the highest hill.
Crossing fingers for January 09. There’s just so much riding on the outcome. Mostly my other half ceasing to ask where the money is coming from for –
1. my trips to the hairdresser.
2. monthly payment (£283 a month and a year still to go) for my coupe cabriolet.
3. daughter’s rent etc, etc.
Ooh! Wish it were over and mostly that we pass with flying colours and a 6:6.

Training currently to be a driving instructor.
Gaining my green instructors badge would be the greatest thing in the world.
I told everyone I know when I passed Part 1!
I told everyone I know and a whole lot more when I passed Part 2!!
I’m going to tell the whole world when I pass my Part 3!!!
