How I did it: I looked on the Amnesty site, read the amazing and very poignant stories of those imprisoned, tortured or missing because of their religious of political beliefs, and sent cards to some of them. It is a small gesture, but big deeds are made up small gestures and doing something is better than doing nothing at all.
Lessons & tips: I woulr recommend everyone to do this and to join Amnesty!

You may have seen in the news that UK resident Binyam Mohamed has been released from Guantánamo Bay.
Binyam Mohamed was one of the recipients of this year’s Greetings card campaign organised by Amnesty International. Read about the progress of this case here.

and,in the process had a wonderful conversation with such a great person who works at the P.O.

One recipient wanted to receive white ribbons so they could make a visible sign of support to those imprisoning them. I have just found some white ribbon so that card went out.
Remember this campaign carries on till the end of January.

Flirt thinks Kanard is kind, sweet and very generous for sharing her chocolate! had a wonderful purple, chocolate, flirtini day!
and they’re ready to be dropped in to the mailbox tomorrow. If I can find some more appropriate cards (I should have gotten 2 boxes) there are a few more I’d like to send out.
