decide what i want to do with my hair

I have sort of decided. I just went on a whim a couple weeks ago and got it above the shoulder length with some side swept bangs. My hair grows so fast and I didn’t want to go full on bangs yet (because they still scare me), so in a couple more weeks, before I leave the states, I will get it cut again, a trim and cross-my-fingers, hopefully bangs! :-) Oh I also colored it dark brown, my natural color, but I’d been getting highlights from the sun and didn’t like the burnished look.

My hair is boring. Straight, brown, medium-longish, with a weird wavy thing at the ends, where one half of my head waves in one direction and the other half flips in the opposite. I envy those girls with the self confidence to go wild and crazy with their hair. Highlights, color, short, choppy cuts, or even bangs. I am scared of bangs and can’t afford the upkeep of highlights. I also have a professional job, so can’t go too crazy.

Any suggestions? :-)

Our school is doing a “hair drive” as you might call it, and is trying to get people to participate in locks of love. A LOT of people are pushing me to do it at the moment. I would like to do it, but just not at this point. If I cut my hair 10inches, it’d be up around my shoulders which is really unflattering for my face and hair type (I had it cut like that about 2 years ago).

I often hear a lot of compliments on my hair.

It’s longgggg, brownish with a tint of red, with a ton of waves and curls.

That’s a slightly old picture, it’s about 3 inches longer now.

Any suggestions?

Really tried a lot more, including permanent, and am satisfied with my hair now.

It’s straight, it’s long, it’s easy to toss up, or do-up if you’re feeling fancy, but other than that I haven’t dyed or colored it in so long, so I don’t think I have to worry about roots, only thing is….I have absolutely NO clue what to do with it besides the pony tail thing…I need some lessons….

Other thought —> chopping it off, maybe adding some dark colors, and doing some kind of crazy spikey thing (I’m thinking pig-tails)and just having fun with it….why not, it does grow back, doesn’t it???

I gave in and cut it short. Hopefully it’ll take it’s time growing back in.

My hair sucks the big one. It’s uber thick, uber wavy, coarse and brown. It’s pretty much the opposite of everything hair is “supposed” to look like for the day. Yeah, tell me I should embrace my hair for being so “unique”. You try to live with it D: I’ve tried everything as far as products go, and have chopped it short enough so I don’t have to deal with it anymore. Imma shave it if I can’t find anything D:<

I think it looked good short, and I got a lot of compliments, but I really hate maintenence; it’s a lot easier to slap it up into a ponytail than to get it cut every month. Cheaper, too. I do feel more girly with long hair as well. But then we get back to the kicker – it looked better short…
