Ever since I was little I’ve always loved animals. When I was a kid, I had 2 cats, 2 dogs and a hamster. Unfourtunately, we had to put one dog down(Shalimar, <3), and the other one(Shadow, <3) we had to give away due to my family not being able to afford her medicine; I also had a cat named Missy who was hit by a car and another named Pumpkin who was lost when he jumping in my parents car when we went to visit my grandparents; I then had a hamster who died due to the disease many rodents get coming from a pet store. I know I've had alot or pets, and this probably makes me sound awful, but I now have a cat named Kayla who is from my local SPCA and I love her so much. I can't express how much I care for animals and how much it KILLS me too know that some are abused and have not homes. Just the gratitude you get from a shelter pet is unbelievable, they truly appreciate you more than any human it seems. That's why I want to volunteer to help them. =)
