How I did it: I got a sewing machine, and found my directions for it online. I spent a few hours tinkering around, and now I can sew things with it! I'm still learning how to choose fabrics and thread and all of that, but things are looking up from here! I can't wait to make bags and clothes and just about anything else I want! Considering buying a sewing machine! I’m not intimidated, I have the time to work on things, and I think I’m responsible enough to keep all of the parts/accessories to it together. (that might sound like an odd statement, but if I’d gotten a sewing machine any younger than I am now I’m pretty sure I’d have lost parts, lobbed it off the side of a table, or otherwise destroyed it out of frustration)
I took this off of my 43T while I thought about my real goals in life, and decided Yes, I want to learn how to sew. It seems like something that could be incredibly handy to know, and given my creative history with art and color coordination, could be something I can pick up quite easily. 15 months ago

Pancemaster sews everything by hand. Why?
Firstly, I don’t have a sewing maching because they’re expensive as hell, and I’ve seen those monstrosities. They’re IMPOSSIBLE to understand! Buttons, needles, doodads all over the place. I just… can’t figure ‘em out.
I can barely fix a broken button.
So… I’d like to figure out how to use a sewing machine, the different types of stitches, all that junk.
Because quite frankly, sewing is fun. I have a jolly old time stitching together pillows and old cloths I find, but god damn it it takes forever to do by hand. I can design some really cool things, but I just need to know how to do create it!
I’d like to make cloth dolls, more ornate pillows, affix zippers to things, maybe a halloween costume or something. 17 months ago
