I recently moved and discovered the neighborhood barber shop offers this. I went today and waited quite a while, and got turned down. The barber said he couldn’t give me a better shave than what I already had, even though I had not shaved today and had lots of stubble! This is my second time I’ve gone here and left without what I wanted (the first time I went for a haircut and waited 5 hours and had to leave without one).
Needless to say, I do not think I will be returning to this place. 6 years ago

I live in Austin and have been wanting to get a barbershop shave for a while, but can’t figure out where to go. I went to a regular barber a few years ago and asked if the did shaves, but they only used disposable razors – not quite what I was looking for. 7 years ago

I have a confession to make… I’m not very good at shaving. I always end up leaving a hair or being stubbly. My goatee grows out like a brillo pad.. I’m just not a good metrosexual male type.
But I’d really love to go and get a barbershop shave.
I realize they aren’t the old guys hanging out watching the game shooting the sh-t anymore, but it would still be a nice experience, just to have a close straight razor shave. 7 years ago
