Actually, I’ll have the opportunity tonight, technically, because the hotel we’re staying at has pools of Dead Sea water and it’ll be too dark to really enjoy the Dead Sea itself. However, I am going to wait until tomorrow morning where I can float in the Sea! =D Hopefully the little scratches and bumps I’ve acquired as of late will not hinder my full enjoyment of the experience. =P

Well, my parents and i were going to visit Jordan for a month, so we decided to go to the Dead Sea. We stayed in a hotel for one day and one night (not enough time 2 do evrything we wanted to….or was it?). Well, after going to the pool, spa, etc. we went to the Dead Sea (be prepared to walk down a TON of stairs and back up again). We arrived at the Dead Sea and i dipped my hand in the special pots with the mud in them. It felt gooey on my skin. After putting it on my hands, arms, legs and a little on my face, my dad helped me take off a necklace i had, since the salt in there, destroys everything. (Tip: if you put mud on, be sure to wear shoes like old sandals, Crocs, shoes that can be washed easily afterwards) I wore my Crocs to the shore line (since there the ‘beach’ was rocky and if u stepped down barefoot, you could get burned) and i took off my shoes and stepped in2 the water. It wasnt refreshing, it was warm. I waded in and then almost fell in. I tried swimming normally but it was no good. (Tip: Swim by paddling your feet like a duck!! Hands dont help!) The mud comes off by itself in the water. Oh and if you have sensitive skin on your face, like i do, dont try putting mud on your face, trust me, you’ll regret it later (it becomes dry and red and it hurts when the mud is on your face) It was an awesome experience, plus we went after breakfast about at 10:00 and i was surprised that almost everything was soo hot!
Anyway, later i had to take 3 showers to get the salt out of my hair and i think there still is some left. So advice: wear your hair up!! Oh, and be ready to climb up a TON of stairs. It’s sooo worth it!! i didnt regret it.
Hope ya’ll have an unforgettable experience!!!

I haven’t given this up. Just included it in my “travel the world” goal as part of organising my 43things.
