How I did it: The Boston Duck tour may be expensive, but it is worth the cost, especially if you have limited time to see the entire city. It is different from the trolley tours as you stay put the entire time. I did the tour in November and while it was cold, it didn't take away from our enjoyment of the tour. We purchased tickets at the Prudential Center, but you can also purchase them on line.
You will be riding on one of the distinctive DUKW Amphibious Vehicles from WWII. These are both land and water venhicles. These vehicles are very recognizable in the city. The most well known part of the tour is the ride on the Charles River.
