learn how to roll my Rs

I’m currently trying to learn Spanish so I’m determined to learn to do this (as well as learn to make a whole range of Spanish sounds my English tounge can’t cope with at the moment!)I’ve got lots of practicing to do!

I’m currently in Romania, and have another three weeks before I leave. I’m determined to learn to do this by then but I’m really struggling.

I actually learned how to roll my rrrrs by making fun of my wonderfully charismatic kitty, Aurora. She would run up to me and rub against me purr-meowing (if you have a kitty, you know what I mean). I always imitate her and meow back at her and talk to her. I would always try to purr at her, too. One day I tried to meow purr at her, and my tongue flapped just a little. I was so excited that I tried it again, and now I can roll my tongue! I found that it was easier to learn when making a straight noise, not while talking or making no noise. This was after 6 years of spanish classes and 15 years of flute lessons (where one technique of playing includes flutter-tongueing, or rolling an rrr while playing). I can’t really explain the mechanism any better than I’ve been taught (you know, put your tongue lightly to the roof of your mouth and sort of blow), but once you get it, you understand and have insight and can do it again. I learned it’s worth it to practice, because I got it even though I thought I was a lost cause.

My mouth just physically can’t do this!!!!

I may pick it back up at a later date, but there are other goals I’d rather acheive right now!!

i cant do this stupid thing!!!im trying to learn italian and its soo hard to roll the rs im going to go insane if anyone found a way please help! im trying the way from youtube but i sound stupid doing it

I need to learn how to do this for when I go to Ethiopia… apparently they don’t understand words such as “world” unless you roll the R!!! But I can’t do it ATALL!!

I don’t think any one reads these thigns really… especially when it’s about something as unexciting as this!!! But just incase anybody does… please offer advice if you have any!!!

This is terrible cause I’m trying to learn Italian. I’m practicing daily though by rolling my r’s in english and pronouncing my words with the Italian sounds. I hope I haven’t offended anyone yet.^_.

I’ve always been able to do that…I didn’t know you learn how to do it, I guess it just comes natural for me…It’s fun though lol XD
