For over a decade, I’ve worked in business and have struggled the entire way – I’m just not cut out for it in so many ways but wasn’t able to see a way out. I want to work as a teacher specializing in communication disordered kids. In order for this to happen, I not only need to go back to school and get my Masters but I also need to summon up enough confidence to believe that I can affect vital changes in these kids. The desire to help is just not enough, I believe there has to be real teaching ability there and I am constantly questioning myself in this area. In the end, what will hopefully drive me is the opportrunity to make small but important differences in the lives of kids who deserve a fair shot at being able to navigate this world with dignity. 5 years ago
