I got two lawn flamingos once and pu them in front of my parent’s yard during a very classy party with very classy people. During the party I asked ppl if they’d seen them and they said they did and thought they were tacky as hell, but they weren’t going to comment. Hilarious—they didn’t realise until the end and they blamed it on one of thier friends.

So I’m moving into a new house, and my mom called me last night to ask if I’d been there today. I hadn’t, so she told me there were four surprises waiting in the yard. Two of those surprises were a pair of lawn flamingos! She’d found them at some out-of-the-way store I’d never even heard of. Now, they’re not the cutest flamingos I’ve seen, but they’ll certainly be putting a smile on my face in my backyard!
Maybe one day I will stumble across a genuine Featherstone flamingo, but until then, I’m good!

I’m getting frustrated! I have been searching for a flamingo and can’t find them for sale ANYWHERE. My parents recently went on a two-month trip around Florida, and I asked them to look, but they couldn’t even find one for sale there! I recently saw several flamingos in a yard and had to resist the urge to, shall we say, “relocate” one…
Moving into my new house in ten days, and I’ll be disappointed if I haven’t found a flamingo by then!

I love plastic lawn flamingos. I dress my flamngos up for mardi gra with beads and hot glue those silvery balls and feathers on their head. I also hot glue little santa hats that I made for all my flamingo lights. I have easter outfits for them, Christmas outfits for them and the most fun is my neigbor hates them so I put them in his yard and send him postcards and holiday cards with flamingos. FUN FUN FUN I only have 10 flamingos and I would like to know where to buy more.

I recently found out that the company that originally made pink lawn flamingos has gone out of business, so I really need to complete this goal before they disappear forever! (Sure, there are knock-offs out there, but if I’m going to do kitsch, I’m going to do it right, and I want the original Featherstone flamingo from Union Products.)
I’ve already got just the spot picked out for my flamingo-to-be, in a shady corner of my backyard garden where he can crack me up without thoroughly embarrassing me at the same time.
Side note: the Featherstone flamingo is celebrating its 50th birthday in 2007, and there will be gold-colored special-issue flamingos to mark the occasion! I’ll stick with pink, though.

I love lawn flamingos.
I just love flamingos.
I went to Florida the other summer, and we went a zoo and flamingos were roamin’ around, and one got scared and it almost ran into me.
