watch more films 1 6 months ago

I don’t go to the cinema, don’t have Sky Film channels and seldom buy DVDs. All my friends and family do one of the above and talk about what they have seen. I have realised I have missed out on a load of really good films that won’t be on terrestial television for years.

Watching a film has been difficult as my partner doesn’t seem to be able to stay focused on a film for 2 hours or so, and I never seem to find the time to sit down on my own to watch any.

But I know that when I am watching films, I really enjoy it and it is a great way of relaxing. So I am going to join LoveFilm, and rent a number of films each month, making my way through a list that I am slowly making for myself! The great thing is that I can watch the DVDs on my laptop so I can go anywhere in the house to enjoy them.

I am looking forward to setting some proper time aside to curl up and enjoy myself.

Getting better at committing the time to this 8 months ago

I always seem to fins something more pressing to do rather than commit 2 hours to a film. BUT, I’m starting to relax and enjoy that time more.

Yes Man - 8/10 9 months ago

Usually I’m not a big fan of Jim Carey, but he seems to be mellowing a bit as he gets older?! The premise of Yes man is not such a bad one and having come away from the film thinking that it may not be such a bad idea. It moves along at a pretty quick pace and there are some truely funny moments in it. Definitely worth a watch.

Also watched at a late night showing on Friday night was the dubbed and undubbed Django, unfortunately I didn’t get to see much of it as had a really hard week at work and a bit to drink earlier on in the evening.. so it was a it of a blur.

:)

Lovefilm 16 months ago

I signed up to this a few months ago and I have to say that I have been watching more films. (Not that many more because I am only on the 2 dvds a month deal). I recently saw The Libertine, Paris, Je T’aime, Hairspray, Not Here to be Loved, Moliere, The Pursuit of Happyness…and more. Anyway, I thought I didn’t like films but actually I just didn’t like the same films as my ex. So i got out of the habit of watching them. The more you watch the more you are inspired to see. I am doing well with this “Thing”.

Untitled 17 months ago

I watched “Sex and the city” and yesterday “Because I said so” and “A fish called Wanda”.
