i am maybe the most selfish person i know. most things i do, even if they are for a good cause, are also done for some ulterior motive that will somehow benefit myself. I consider myself a religous person who believes in putting others before myself, but i don’t. if there could be some way for me to be a better person, i think this would be it. in other words, this goal is to practice what i preach.

And give of myself to them. I also want to take care of myself, but to do more for others than myself.

A couple of days ago I gave my all day bus ticket to a random man. He asked me how much I wanted for it but I thought as I had already saved money and travelled three times for the price of 2 there was no reason to make him pay for it.
I also got off work and spent some time with a woman there to show her some of my pictures I had taken of my cat Carn because she really likes cats too. -

I helped an old lady cross the road again- no lie!
I think it was the same one- she can’t see very well you see. And not only that but as this is christmas I have been crazy buying presents for everyone that they’ll actually want!
I also won a raffel and passed on getting what I wanted to get my dad a bottle of Baileys! I think that’s it- but… this is making me feel good too… so is it selfless? Hmm.

I am possibly the most selfish person I know. And I know many people that would agree with me.

selflessness is quite hard to get my head around. obviously it is the opposite of selfishness…but to what extent can you actually be selfless? is it when you give up your seat for an elderly lady on the bus, help somebody out, give to charity, or simply stop thinkin the world evolves around you?
comments and feedback welcome…thanks x
