see Cat Power in concert

she’s so charming. and she grabbed my hand!
i guess i’m not going to wash it for a week

I’m actually going all the way to Calgary on a weeknight to see her. I know she has some issues about performing, but I really hope it’s a good show!

I would love to see her in person. Though I’ve heard some bad things about her concerts, it’s a risk I’m willing to take. Cuz ultimately, I don’t care if she throws a tantrum. I want to see her, hear her voice and shout out to her “YOU ROCK”

truly cool. you just have to leave your preconceptions about what a concert is outside, I read in the NYT that she has a lot of issues, which may be part of it but I loved how disarming her performances were, the fourth wall came down for real. Though I hope, of course, that she’s doing better.

I think it’s important to have no expectations when you see Chan play… sometimes she’s not in the best frame of mind and sometimes she is, but she’s always beautifully, intensely real…

saw her in nashville at the mercy lounge. almost freaked out because some people felt they were entitled to stand completely in front of a seated audience with their fat heads. they were overthrown, though =] she does the cutest thing with her legs while she plays the guitar. kind of kicks them around like a horse. her set was beautiful.

i saw her tonight, oh my god. so beautiful & moving. i thought i’d have to wait a lot longer for this.
