I worked with Safelite too. Safelite wouldn’t come out when it rains, and it was raining for the first week and a half that my windshield was broken. So I was stuck through the storms without a decent windshield. Then, when the sun finally came out, they came to replace the windsheild and they broke it again. But in the end, they came out and now I have a nice new windshield that will help me pass inspeciton.

I wish I didn’t have that blue stripe though. How stupid looking.

So they brought the wrong molding the first time, then they brought the wrong glass. I just had them put it in anyway. It’s the right size, but it’s got that nasty blue tint stripe at the top. sigh Sometimes I feel like the whole world is against me.

I just got my new car (Subaru Outback) at the beginning of July, and was having a hellacious weekend. I’m driving to our server facility, and a rock comes up, TING! Cracks my windshield. I’ve had my car like 6 weeks.
So, I call up my car insurance, they’re very kind, and schedule an appointment for Safelite to come out and fix it. So, Safelite comes out today, to my home, and not my office. I race home, and the guys looks at my car, and says, we don’t have that molding. It’s going to take 2-3 days to get it. Awesome. maybe the crack will go all the way across my windshield before I get it replaced.
I think the world is out to get me.
It was cracked and I waited so long but I finally fixed it and I was glad I did it. And in the end it didn’t take much effort. (I’m talking here about GETTING it fixed, not actually fixing it myself.)
