How I did it: I accepted hugs when ever they were offered. I gave hugs when a situation brought a hug to mind. Which I now see that I more accept hugs than offer hugs. Why is that?

Looking back I also see sometimes I didn't think to hug someone in a situation where a hug would have been perfectly normal, really. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Next year, I'll be better at this. I think I am out of practice due to the recent tragic life circumstances.
Lessons & tips: I always said "November is Hug Month" before the hug if it was someone that might not normally be hugging me. That generally made the hug welcome.

Clearly! I was at a charity tree lighting function this evening and was hugged by 2 more people! Must be the Christmas spirit setting in.
Nonetheless…....I’m increasing my hug count to 16 for 2008!

It’s December third and more than the usual number of people have had to come to my office today. Two of them have initiated hugs with me! When they do I say “November is hug month =)” (I’m planting seed for next year so I have a higher hug count!) One said “I’m making December my hug month.” The other said “Let’s just extend it a bit.”
So, 14. I’ll make my official count for 2008 14.

I have gotten a few more in. At Thanksgiving I gave everyone a hug before I left. Very nice since I’d just met very nearly everyone. That added 7 more to my count.
A friend that vanished 6 months ago showed up to tell me why (I already knew why) and there was a hug involved there (after I suffered a lecture) of course.
This evening I went to the Melodrama in Oceano with a friend and we hugged good-bye.
That brings me to an even dozen. Only two days left in November. I’m not sure I’ll reach my hoped for hug count but, it’s not over til the Fat Lady Hugs! (I mean that in The Kindest Way!)
