Still reading the books and practicing. I don’t have a clear understanding of how it works, though. When I can do a query and have it report the info in a specific format, then I’ll mark this as done.
I’m taking a break this week, though. I’m making a few other things priority to prep for an upcoming surgery.

I actually found a way around using access for the task I was given. I made a good case why excel would be the better choice (which was even true) and I just copied the data into an excel file. Since I don’t really know how to use access yet, I had to copy it via word, which I am sure is not the right way to do it. Anyway, now I could actually give up on this task because it is now longer needed, but it might make sense to learn it anyway.

I’m still working on it. I’ve downloaded some templates from Microsoft and look at how they are built. I’m currently building my own database which is a little complicated because it will need to have a subform placed in (embedded?) in the main form. I haven’t learned to do that yet but I will. I looked online and found one forum for database builders but I’m not knowledgeable enough yet to understand anything of what was being written. Soon, though.

I’ve wanted to learn Access for a while now. In my current job it wouldn’t make that much of a difference but I think it would be a great skill for my upcoming career transition. Actually, I think having extensive Office skills would be helpful. I’ve some experience with Excel and Word, enough to get around, but none with Access. Yet…

I have a new job and everyone is using Access. In contrast, I don’t have a clue, but need to find out soon how to work it well. I’ve found some guidelines on the internet, but they all deal with earlier version. Does anyone have a guide to access 2007?

I don’t know much about this program. All I know is that it looks like excel. But if it can help me use excel in a more efficient manner I’m all up for it.
