LouieATX back in Thailand!
In Thailand, I bought a lemon tree sapling and raised it for several months. It turned out to be a lime tree but I loved it all the same. :)
Just picked 5 limes from him. Went well with a couple San Miguel!

Hi There
I can understand why you would want to grow a lemon tree, I have a few in my garden, some fully mature and some just starting on their 2nd year.
The citrus family are beautiful all year round (especially in the winter when they are covered in delicious fruits or fragrant white blossoms) but very susceptible to cold and disease. The specially selected orange and lemon varieties grown for fruit are all grafted to improve their disease resistance.
You can grow them in pots or in the ground and the smell from the flowers is lovely!
I have attached an image of the lemon tree – I also have a gardening forum that might interest you – maybe see you there and chat one day :)
My in-laws have a lemon tree in their back yard that grows the most delicious, GIANT lemons. My wife gets a box of lemons every year, and we make lemon merenguie pies. I am in the Navy, so I don’t want to do it now, but I have to have a lemon tree in my back yard one day.
i planted two seeds and they both grew – its kinda fun to watch them grow
Chris M is recovering.
is a joy.
Everyone should have one. A tangerine tree too.
I need to get my soil and seeds and we will be set. It’s actually on my mind so Im bound to make this happen…cant wait.
This will be a nice project for the kids and i to take on. something we can all watch and nurture.
It took a month or so, but my little tree has definitely gotten it’s grow on now. I started out getting crazy over finding a tiny little new shoot. Fast forward to a couple of weeks later and that tiny little shoot is now a full fledged, two foot long branch covered with big green leaves, with a couple other new branch friends to keep it company.
