teach myself how to play guitar

I began guitar lessons in 4th grade and finally had the good sense to hang it up my sophomore year of highschool. I say this because I never practiced and never really searched for the answers on my own, so I never learned how to play- just how to play a couple of specific songs because I was able to memorize where my fingers went. I want to go back to it on my own this time and really give myself the freedom to struggle. I have a pretty cute geetar and a whole summer with not much going on.. I CAN’T WAIT! :)

I have the guitar, and I have to books, so now I just need the motivation to keep practicing. I can pick a couple of songs so far.
