Yippity is thinking how he wants his son to be proud of him
OK, now four pounds away. How did that happen ? Remind myself I’ll be a little hungry for a while. Four more weeks ? I can do that.
How I did it: Highly scientific approach :-
1. I ate less and
2. exercised more
Set targets and monitored them with colourful charts
2 treats max a week (usually a nice scone with coffee at the weekend)
Walked or cycled to work most days (3 miles)
2 units of alchol max a week
Lost over stone and now fit my old trousers
Lessons & tips: Set targets for eating (no of calories, say or number of snacks/treats)
Set targets for exercise
Monitor them in a diary or colourful chart or spreadsheet - this seems to do something.
Be very very disciplined for a short time (I suggest three months) and be prepared to be slightly hungry during that time. At the end of the time, you can then revert to a weight maintenance diet.
