I guess the only thing I can say is I’m a 17 year old girl with big dreams but can’t get a break. It really hurts and is very frustrating because I have a gift with no one to share it with. If there is anyone who can help me, please help. I want to be a singer so bad and it would mean so much to me.

not about me 12 months ago

Tanae Wilson…My beautiful talented smart 9 year old daughter. I know nobody really knows who she is but with Oprah’s help who knows maybe one day the whole world will know. She trys so hard everyday in school to be the best she can and get the best grades that she can. She recently received a letter from the National Center for Early Academic Excellence where they invited her into their scholar program for the summer. The only problem is it costs a little over 1600 dollars. I’m a manager at taco bell and a single mom with 3 other children and can barely pay rent sometimes let alone come up with that kind of money. So I’m hoping to make it to the Oprah show and maybe money wont stop her from having such a great opportunity. Oprah we all love you and your show!!!

Last year, I had this crazy goal to be on Oprah. Like many, I had no idea how you even go about do this, everyone told my I was crazy. 3 months after I set my goal, I was selected as a Finalist in Oprah’s Search for the Next Big Idea appeared on Oprah. She was sooo down to earth – I absolutely love her.

Oprah: Meeting you is one of 'My Wildest Dreams' 20 months ago

For 22 years, I have dreamed of being a guest on Oprah’s talk show. In 1986, I turned 21 and it’s also the year that her show went national. I remember walking home one late night from my job, for some reason, thinking about Oprah. An overwhelming sense of peace came over me and I had a gut feeling along with a clear vision that I’d be sitting on her stage, talking with her about my life and what I learned from growing up in sub-standard conditions and dysfunction, basically, overcoming adversity. Throughout the years, I have felt an uncanny connection to the Spirit of this beautiful soul. Several years back, I created a Dream Book, which is a pictorial of how I envision my life unfolding. Of course, I have a ‘Meeting Oprah’ page. I admire Oprah for her service to Humanity and I graciously thank her for being an exemplary, shining beacon of light that continues to help illuminate a way for millions of lives while effectively helping to change not only our world, but also our view of the world. Namaste

Why not me? 2 years ago

I’m happy. I’m well adjusted. I have a terrific husband and 3 adopted Labradors. I own my dream home – a modest home in a gorgeous rural location. I worked my way through school and have a great education. I’m in perfect health. My entire family gets along with each other. Financially, I’m in OK shape. I have nothing about which to complain.

I’d be a blast of fresh air on Oprah! She needs to interview someone who is doing well, feels good and enjoys life!

weird dream 3 years ago

I had a dream that I was on the Oprah show for being one of the next hot talents in Hollywood. It was so bizarre, but pretty cool. :P

almost...twice 3 years ago

Producers have called me about being on the show twice in the past, but I never made the final cut.

I’d love for the Oprah show to help me honor my mom after the rough few years she’s had….

I need to break away 3 years ago

When I was 13 years old I broke my leg playing basketball. The surgery caused avascular necrosis in my hip which died and collapsed approximatly 7 months after the surgery. At that time I was faced with amputation of my leg at the hip or fusing it to the socket. My mom found a doctor in Boston who had a better option, an option of restoring life and function of the hip with an experimental surgery that had about a 40% chance of working but it was by far better than the alternative. The surgery worked for a couple of years then failed so I had to have my hip replaced at the age of 16. This hip was of course defective and I didn’t find out about it for four years so I walked around in constant pain without knowing the reason why. By the end of the fourth year I was in so much pain that I was taking three Tylenol 3’s every 3 to 4 hours. I finally lucked out when a saw a 60 minutes show, or something like it, about a company who produced and ditributed defective hips. The symptoms where exactly like mine so my mom called up Mass General to get the serial number of my hip to find out if I had one, and sure enough I did. So then I talked to my local orthopedist and he advised immediate revision of the hip. So two weeks after I turned 21 I had my second hip replacement. Now I’m vertually pain free unless I over stress the supporting muscles but I can’t seem to find a job that wont tear it up. So I’ve been trying to get into modeling because I’m apparently “eye candy” and have a big fan club every where I work. I think that people should do what they’re good at for a living and I’m somehow good at being hot so maybe I could make a career out of it I just don’t have the money to get started. Can you help me?
