so I volunteered at the library for a long time; shelving books and the like. It was really fun and I always left with a feeling of satisfaction. My brother and I are also both scouts, so we participate in a lot of other volunteer work as well, such as canned food drives and beach clean ups. Volunteering is such a good thing, it gives you a sense of accomplishment an kindheartedness while helping to improve and enrich the enviorment and people’s lives.

I have been working too much and trying to do other things on my list. I am sponsoring two children (one from the Philippines and the other from Colombia), so at least I feel like I’m doing something for someone other than myself! I would like one day to volunteer at some soup kitchens around here though. One day I will, but not now.
I volunteer every week at St Pat’s Catholic Church doing their bulletin. I volunteer every chance I get for activities at the Church …like selling fireworks and working at dinner fundraisers.
I volunteered a few times at a no-kill shelter in Auburn, Nebraska ( http://www.hua.org ) Hearts United for the Animals. It was very hard for me. I cried constantly. I found a friend that I wanted to adopt and someone else adopted him. I am now working up the courage to adopt a special needs dachshund (see my entry for “adopt Telly”)
I dont feel I am doing enough. I have nothing but time on my hands. : (
